Resources

We will be using SideFx Houdini to work on projects during the course. Houdini has become the industry standard for effects animation at most animation studios and visual effects companies. Take a look at the other pages under the Resources tab. I would recommend downloading the free Houdini Apprentice software and at least watch the Houdini Basics in Depth and the Building a Procedural Fountain videos prior to the first day of class. Other videos in the "Houdini Isn't Scary" series are also great for becoming familiar with the interface that you'll be using.
