We will be using SideFx Houdini to work on projects during the course. Houdini has become the industry standard for effects animation at most animation studios and visual effects companies. Below are some useful short videos. I would definitely watch at least the first video in the "Houdini Isn't Scary" series as well as watching the "Houdini Basics in depth" and "Modeling a Fountain Procedurally" to get yourself familiar with Houdini before our first class together. The videos are not very long so you should be able to watch them pretty easily.
