Assignments

There are 3 total assignments. The first 2 assignments will be done during the first 3 weeks. The third assignment will go for the rest of the duration of the course, but work in progress submissions will be required for each week. They will be assigned at the beginning of the week and consist of:
Participation: Piazza Forum Discussions, Peer Critiques
Deliverables: Plans, References, Houdini Files, Playblasts or Still Images

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Deliverables
  • Deliverables are due the immediate Sunday at 11:59pm in order for feedback to be completed on time.
  • Deliverables must be submitted in the proper assignment folder on the Storytelling Through Effects box inside a folder named by your andrewID.
  • Each file must have the naming convention: <andrewID>_asst<assignment #>_v<version #>.<file format>.
    • Example: ritty_asst3_v2.mp4
  • Playblasts can be submitted as mp4 or mov.
  • Images should be scanned or very clearly photographed, submitted as png or jpg.
  • A work in progress (WIP) playblasts or stills should be uploaded by Friday at 11:59pm to your Box folder with a link to the file posted on the course Piazza page for peer feedback.
    • Give your post a useful subject line: <Name> (<andrewID>) Assignment <assignment #> WIP.
      • Example: Ria Itty (ritty) Assignment 12 WIP
    • Talk about your process and troubles in your post. Ask for any specific feedback you'd like to get so others may consider it as they critique your WIP.

Participation***
  • Peer Feedback is due at the same time as your deliverable submission.
    • Respond to your classmates' WIP Piazza post with constructive feedback.
    • Comment at least 3 times a week before the submission deadline.
    • Don't forget to read your own feedback.
  • ALWAYS post your questions/findings to Piazza. You can post anonymously, but your findings may help your peers.
