Assignment 1

• Do a short write up about what inspired you to take the course and what you hope to get out of it post it in Piazza under the Assignment 1 folder.
• Choose to use the photo provided as inspiration for building a procedural fountain in Houdini or take some photos of a simple traditional fountain near you. If you pick your own photos, provide the images you used as reference into Piazza.
• After class, you can refer back to the demo videos to help you build your own procedural fountain in Houdini. Take some screen captures of some variations of the fountain you made and also submit your Houdini file into a the box location under a folder titled using your andrewID.
• For extra credit, if you want to watch the extra video on running a water simulation on your fountain, create a flipbook of your fountain simulation and submit that clip along with your Houdini file into Box.

• Read the Course Website thoroughly, especially the Submission Guidelines
• Enroll for the course Piazza and Box.
